LAKE IN THE HILLS — Vedia D. Thornton, 57, of Lake in the Hills passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005, in Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. She was born Sept. 18,1947, in Arkansas, the daughter of Virgil and Viola Michels Morey. Survivors include husband, William B. Thornton; daughter, Darcy Eisler of Lake in the Hills; daughter-in-law, Ericka Swedland of Rockford; grandsons, Jonas of Rockford and Conner of Michigan; granddaughter, Courtney of Michigan; brother, George (Linda) Morey of Belvidere; sisters, Iva (Lester) Morrall of St. Petersburg, Fla., Julie Lane of Oregon and Jeanetta Johnson-Kaufman of Mariposa, Calif.; mother-in-law, Grace of Michigan; several sisters- and brothers-in-law including Mary Morey of Rockford and Bill DeWert of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; sons, Bob and Chad Eisler; brothers, Melvin and Chester Morey; and sister, Mabel DeWert.

Service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in Miller Funeral Home, 504 W Main St.; West Dundee, with visitation beginning at 4 p.m.
