Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy L. Wallis, 22, 3701 Trilling Ave., Rockford who was found dead in Rock River, Rockford, Friday were conducted today.
Mrs. Wallis was born in Belvidere April 16, 1947, daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn Adamson Jackson. She was married to Charles V. Wallis April 26, 1969 at Rockford. She was employed as an office worker at H. Douglas Singer Center, Rockford for one and a half years.
She is survived by her husband; parents; a brother, Allen Jackson of Harvard; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Jackson, Garden Prairie.
She was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Jackson.
Funeral rites were conducted by Rev. Earl E. Matson of Shepherd of the Valley Church, Rockford at Buck-Wheeler Funeral Home. Burial was in Highland Garden of Memories.
Mrs. Dagny Olson offered organ numbers.
Pallbearers were Victor Vizgaitis, Carlton Axelson, Robert Bennett, Dale Bennett, Glenn Adamson, and Ralyn Bloon.
