Lois Darlene Fry Powers

Darlene Powers, 64, New Smyrna Beach, passed away peacefully at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia /Flagler, Southeast Care Center, Edgewater on July 15, 2012. She was born on October 23, 1947 in Fairfield, Iowa and was the daughter of Clarence and Lois Fry. Darlene was a devout Jehovah's Witness and a member of the New Smyrna Beach North Congregation. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Theodore "Ted" Powers; three sons, Collin (Rebecca) Zdeb of Winter Park, Joshua Powers of Port Orange and Jeramy (Kimberly) Powers of Port Orange; one daughter, Misha (Jeff) Scarborough of New Smyrna Beach; four brothers, Herbert, Amos, Jerry and Jim Fry; one sister, Claudia Fry; and four grandchildren, Brianna, Stephanie, Gavin and Payton. Darlene will always be fondly remembered as a kind and gentle person who will be missed by all who knew her. She eagerly looked forward to Jehovah God's promise of a future without pain and suffering. (Revelation 21:4). At her request, no services will be held.
